Growing up in the seaside city, south of China, Lily made the move over to Hong Kong for her university studies, where she currently still resides.

Trained to become an engineer, Lily made a detour from engineering to art after receiving her diploma. She took a liking to drawing since childhood, and decided to give rein to her imagination in the form of painting.

Being a self-taught artist with passion in what she does, she is constantly honing her artistic skills in watercolour painting. Her works mainly cover the Ocean and her place of residence. Her prime inspiration is derived from enormous whales, cheeky seals, colourful seadragons and so on. She is also greatly inspired by old natural history illustrations or posters.
